Location: Weybridge

**Salary**: £55,000 per annum + 15% bonus
Duration: Permanent role offering hybrid working (2 days in office, 3 days working from home)

Summary of a Strategic Sourcing Manager
Working as part of the Sourcing & Procurement team, the individual will work to identify and develop excellent relationships with Key Vendors. The primary responsibility for day to day sourcing of comparator medication. Responsible for developing strategicplans to support the capability’s goals and objectives.

Key Responsibilities of a Strategic Sourcing Manager
- Identify key vendors, product classes and territories in support of company growth objectives (central and local sourcing, DDLD, hard to access products, ancillaries)
- Improve vendor payment terms and identify synergies with other companies/divisions to improve buying power
- Improve key vendor performance through implementation and delivery of strategic objectives.
- Build and manage relationships with key vendors to maximise opportunities and ensure the best pricing and terms possible is achieved
- Measure supplier performance through the implementation of KPI’s. Arrange and attend periodical face to face visits with key suppliers through attendance of exhibitions and commercial meetings.
- Reduce product acquisition costs and negotiate favourable pricing terms whilst ensuring absolute supply chain integrity and security
- Manage a streamlined sourcing process that ensures the most appropriate sourcing solutions are provided in a timely manner
- Devise appropriate supply strategies, taking into account all relevant factors; for example, the length of a trial, cost, continuity of supply and supply chain integrity
- Ensure all licenses, documentation, audits and associated QA activities are in place in support of vendor qualification
- Work with QA, Regulatory and Technical teams to identify opportunities to improve supply chain security, compliance and integrity

Key Competencies of a Strategic Sourcing Manager
- Educated to degree level
- Sourcing/procurement/vendor management experience
- Proficient in use of web based IT systems and Microsoft (MS) Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Word and MS Project
- Ability to plan, prioritise and coordinate a busy workload with good time management skills
- Able to problem solve, strategize, and "think outside the box"
- Ability to influence, persuade and negotiate with key stakeholders
- Flexible and adaptable to changing situations
- Previous experience in pharmaceutical sourcing - preferable
- Membership of CIPS or equivalent desirable
- Experience operating within a global complex matrix company an advantage
- International experience required
- Excellent relationship management, networking and interpersonal skills
- Excellent communication skills and ability to communicate effectively with all levels of an organisation
- Team management and leadership skills and experience
- Working knowledge of global and EU procurement rules and legislation
- Experience and/or knowledge of working in a highly regulated environment required
