We are currently recruiting for a permanent IT Helpdesk 1st Line Support role for our Client on the outskirts of Kendal

You will be required to troubleshoot problems that arise with network hardware and software with coordinated actions to solve issues in a timely and efficient manner. Provide continued first level hardware and software deployment and maintenance for data,voice and operational technology.

**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:
1. Provide first level desktop support for regionally deployed computer infrastructure.

2. Manage local Active Directory resources, such as member servers and workstations and stored data.

3. Support remote workers - VPN access, user accounts and associated tokens.

4. Support global anti-virus endpoint installations.

5. Support Office 365 mailboxes.

6. Manage local Cisco LAN switch environment and Cisco Meraki wireless network.

7. Support Cisco Unified Communications Manager Voice over IP phone system.

8. Maintain Disaster Recovery site hardware/software platforms.

9. Maintain local proprietary software.

10. Promote corporate technology initiatives to global IT organization.

11. Provide assistance with operational technology (OT networks) providing support for process controls (PLC\HMI) and sometimes working with electrical engineers on networking projects.

12. Participate in process digital infrastructure site wide meetings

13. Develop and maintain computer operations schematics, policies and procedures.

14. Work with technology contractors as needed.

15. Provide first level of support for local (and some global) infrastructure issues for LANs, WANs, Office 365, remote access, and other business related server platforms.

16. Support remote network administrators with server, router and switch operability or performance issues.

17. Troubleshoot and resolve Cisco LAN & WAN related problems such as slow response time, network cabling and equipment.

18. Implement changes to software such as patches, updates, and upgrades.

19. Maintain and consult asset history so as to have a clear understanding of software installed and revision levels.

20. Implement changes to servers, switches and routers such as patches, updates and upgrades as directed.

21. Research and deploy local configuration changes in collaboration with Network Administrators, as required.

22. Required to adhere to all applicable site safety requirements

23. And other related duties as assigned or required.

**EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE**:

- IT support experience in an office environment is beneficial
- Knowledge of Office 365 and Windows Server administration
- Ability to communicate IT information effectively to other members of staff and partners
- Ability to work on own initiative with mínimal supervision
