Salesperson

**Job Overview**:
We are seeking a highly motivated and confident well spoken customer-oriented individual to join our team as a Salesperson. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, assisting customers in selecting the perfect flooring for their home, and driving sales to meet targets.

**Responsibilities**:

- Greet customers as they enter the store and provide a warm and inviting atmosphere
- Assist customers in selecting the right flooring based on their preferences, budget, and lifestyle.
- Handle customer enquiries, complaints, and concerns professionally and promptly
- Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently using the point-of-sale system
- Maintain a clean and organised sales floor, including arranging carpet displays and ensuring products are well-presented
- Collaborate with the installation team to schedule and coordinate carpet installations
- Meet sales targets and contribute to the overall success of the store

**Skills / requirements**:

- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in sales or business administration is a plus
- Proven experience in a sales or customer service role, preferably in the flooring or home improvement industry
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with customers
- Strong product knowledge of different flooring types,and brands.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple customer requests simultaneously
- Proficient computer skills and experience with point-of-sale systems
- Strong negotiation and persuasion skills to close sales effectively.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Clean driving licence
- Flexibility to work weekends, and bank holidays as required.
