Our Client is a well-respected organisation operating in the Forestry sector. They are currently seeking a Carbon Assistant to join them for a part-time, 12-month contract based from their Offices in Dumfries. This role will be 3 days per week for 12 months to cover Maternity leave.
Working as part of the Carbon department you will assist the Carbon Manager and wider Carbon team by providing administrative and clerical support. You will be responsible for:
- Assisting with the preparation of site survey documentation.
- Preparing documentation for the Woodland Carbon Code and Peatland Code projects.
- Other duties as required.
This is a busy and rewarding role which requires the following:
- A basic knowledge or experience of working in the Forestry or Rural sector.
- Knowledge of the Carbon market and GIS mapping (ideally)
- Excellent communication skills
- A good working knowledge or understanding of forestry management and afforestation projects (desirable)
- An enthusiastic and self-motivated approach to work.
- Applications are also welcome from those working towards attaining Chartered status or currently studying in a similar field.
- A full Driving licence (preferred)
