Contract: Permanent, Full time (40 hours)

Lord Wandsworth College is looking to recruit a qualified and experienced Carpenter/Joiner to work with the wider maintenance team to deliver maintenance projects, by providing carpentry services within the College and its associated domestic estate to an excellent standard. The role also entails maintaining healthy building environments to ensure minimum disruption to the core business.

Key responsibilities will include:

- Carry out the day-to-day maintenance and refurbishment of College buildings, furniture and fixtures as directed by the Building Manager
- Construct new doors, windows, roofing, porches, or any other building elements as required.
- Build bespoke items including items of furniture
- Remove and refit Kitchens to domestic, academic, and boarding accommodation
- Ensure that the maintenance workshop is always kept clean and tidy and well as being responsible of its health, safety, and welfare
- Take responsibility for the day-to-day supervision, training and career development of any carpentry and joinery apprentices employed by the College
- Operate and maintain carpentry tools and equipment both fixed and mobile
- Take part in conducting site surveys when required
