We are looking for a focused and highly self-motivated Accounts Assistant to join out fast-growing Builders Merchants & Architectural Glazing Company.

The role required is to assist with the daily accounts admin and to assist the accounts manager. Training will provided for the role however Sage 50 experience is required.

This is a deadline orientated role meaning daily KPI’s need to be met to make sure the company accounts are up to date as possible, we are looking for a dedicated, fast working and literate individual who is committed to their own self development.

**The job entails**:

- The timely and accurate processing of supplier invoices, credit notes and any other authorised transaction into the accounts payable ledger
- Match invoices to purchase orders/GRNI where appropriate
- Once you have received booked in delivery notes, match with Supplier invoice and process, checking all the pricing, product and dates are correct.
- Communication with suppliers in respect of payments
- Liaise with managers to ensure invoices are authorised
- Assist with month end duties
- Support the rest of the team in ad hoc administrative tasks as required
- A keen eye for detail and accurate data entry skills
- Management of supplier statements - When Supplier statement have been received, check all the open invoices on system match with statement. If not investigate further
- Issuing customer invoices/statements/remittances
- Taking telephone calls regarding account queries
- Intergroup accounts
- Debtor reporting
- Assisting with year-end
- Anaylsis
- Credit Control
- Reviewing stock
- Purchase ledger processing
- Raising purchase orders
- Processing sales orders
- Passing/raising purchase and sales invoices
- Customer statements
- To work to the standard operating procedures developed for your job role
- Liaise with suppliers and customers alike
- Keep your own workplace and office tidy and presentable
- Liaise closely with other members of each of our departments to ensure efficient working to enable maximum throughput of all orders
