We’re looking for a Food & Drink Process Operator to join our award-winning apprenticeship programme, to learn the Thatchers way of cider making through our Cider Academy and Bridgwater & Taunton College.

We will support you to complete the food and drink industry level 2 apprenticeship in food and drink processing, at the end of which you will be offered a permanent role with one of our teams. At the beginning of your journey, we will create a training planthat meets your individual needs and will then develop your skills and knowledge through a range of events and networking opportunities.

**The Role**
As a Cider Academy Apprentice, you will learn everything there is to know about how to take an apple and turn it into a packaged cider.
A major part of your apprenticeship will be working on our packing line using state-of-the-art engineering and technology to package our cider. You will form part of the team responsible for maintaining, operating, and fixing production line and machinery whilstalso taking responsibility for hygiene, wastage, planning and health and safety.
You will also learn about the science behind the cider making process and will have the chance to work with our laboratory technicians and specialist cider teams who make our world-famous cider.
**About You**
To be considered as a Cider Academy Apprentice, you will need:

- GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths and English grade 3/D or above
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- The ability to work as a team to achieve right first-time products
- A can-do attitude, determination and the drive to succeed
- A conscientious approach and a responsible and trustworthy attitude
- Good attention to detail and a flexible mindset
Things you need to know - This role will involve shift patterns that could be on weekends, nights and days depending on your age and the department you work in.
