GOODS IN OPERATIVE/STOCK CONTROLLER

We are currently seeking an experienced Goods In Operative/Stock Controller to join our extremely reputable and fast-moving, family-run SME which is just over the bridge on the Isle of Sheppey.

We have just moved to brand new premises with air-conditioned offices and very easy access

As Goods In Operative/Stock Controller you will be responsible for receiving all incoming goods in a timely manner and booking them in according to our Best Practices, replenishing picking locations and monitoring stock to ensure smooth and on-time-in-full shipping of orders to customers.

Day to day responsibilities for the Goods In Operative/Stock Controller to include:
**-Goods in**
- Receive and input all in-bounds accurately within 24 hours.
- You will be required to report the following to the warehouse manager / purchasing

assistant.

▪ Fail to complete a put away within 24 hours.

▪ Discrepancies / Damages

**-Replenishing pick locations**
- You must ensure all pick locations are monitored to ensure pickers have stock

available in pick locations to ensure our pickers are as efficient as possible.

▪ Must ensure we follow the FIFO principles.

**-Stock checks**
- Continuous perpetual stocktaking.
- Spot checks

▪ Customer service may request a stock check, this will be due to a delivery

query by our customer, all spot checks are to be completed within 24 hours.

▪ Investigate any shortages reported by the pickers.
- Identify discrepancies, investigate root causes, and help implement

corrective actions to prevent future shortages / overages.
- Returns
- You will be responsible for the receipt of all customer returns.

▪ All returns are to be processed within 24 hours of receipt.

**-Other duties may include.**
- Picking orders
- Checking and processing orders
- Labelling
- Decanting

**Essential Abilities/Competencies for the Role**
- Minimum two years’ experience in goods in and stock control
- Bendy and Counterbalance forklift licences preferable
- Bendy and Counterbalance forklift experience as a minimum
- Experience in the use of stock control systems
- Ability to remain focused and calm under pressure and when interrupted
- Take ownership of the role and go the extra mile when needed
- Relate well to the rest of the team and other departments

Hours
- Monday to Friday 0730 - 1700

**Benefits**:

- Salary £26,000.00 - £30,000 per annum
