We are looking for a part -time phlebotomist with excellent communication and clinical skills to join our friendly and supportive team.

Royal Well Surgery are looking to welcome a qualified phlebotomist into our busy practice, to support our nursing team. Working under the direction of the senior nurse and as part of the practice multi-disciplinary team, the post-holder will be responsible for performing tasks to include:
Working strictly in accordance with specific practice guidelines and protocols to assist the practice clinical team in the provision and delivery of prescribed programmes of patient care, collecting samples of blood in accordance with training and procedures, ensuring correct storage, labelling, recording and efficient dispatching of samples.

Ensuring that the patient is as comfortable and relaxed as possible and confirming their agreement to the collection of a blood sample.

Checking patient identification against GP or nurse request and confirming with the patient whenever possible.

Ensuring that anomalies are reported to a senior member of staff.

Notifying the GP of any significant patient issues.

Liaising with and assisting members of the administrative team.

Royal Well Surgery provides general medical services to around 8000 registered patients.

Part-time - 16 Hours over 2 days Monday and Wednesday(Can be flexible)

Phlebotomy Certificate and experience (required)
