**What is required of me as a Cover Supervisor?**

The role of a Cover Supervisor is to predominately, supervise a classroom. There is no planning or preparation involved - you are not expected to teach. The cover supervisor’s main job is to manage a classroom, distribute the task set and ensure that students remain on task.

**Do I need to be a qualified teacher to work as a Cover Supervisor?**

No, you don’t need to hold Qualified Teacher Status to work as a Cover Supervisor. There are no specific qualifications required, however previous experience teaching or working with children are preferred.

**How much will I be paid?**

Rate of pay is always discussed and confirmed prior to any booking and is dependent on skillset, length of assignment and experience, however, will range between **£90 - £100 per day.**

**Specific responsibilities include**:

- Ensuring a constructive working environment.
- Ensuring pupils complete all set work.
- Recording attendance in accordance with school policy.
- Following the school behavioural policy.
- Following all school safeguarding policies and procedures.
