Job Title: Brick Mason

Job Overview:
As a Brick Mason, you will play a vital role in constructing and repairing brick, block, and stone structures. Your proficiency in bricklaying, masonry, and the use of various tools will be essential in crafting durable and visually appealing buildings.

**Responsibilities**:

- Interpret blueprints and construction plans to determine structural layout
- Measure and cut materials for precise fitting
- Lay bricks, blocks, or stones following specified patterns
- Utilize power tools like saws and drills for cutting and shaping materials
- Conduct quality inspections to ensure work meets standards
- Perform repairs on existing masonry structures when necessary
- Collaborate with construction team members to meet project deadlines

Qualifications:

- Proven experience as a Brick Mason or similar position
- Thorough understanding of bricklaying techniques and masonry principles
- Proficient in the use of hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment
- Ability to interpret blueprints and technical drawings accurately
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on precision in work
- Physical strength and endurance to handle job demands effectively
- Excellent problem-solving skills and proactive work approach

Nice-to-Have Skills:

- Background as a carpenter or involvement in roofing projects

**Job Type**: Temporary contract
Contract length: 6 weeks

Pay: Up to £18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 49 per week
