The Newham Community Integrated Mental Health Service has been established as part of the transformation of mental health services and supports closer working across all parts of the network, including specialist mental health services, GP practices, local authorities and voluntary sector partner agencies. It consists of six Primary Care Networks aligned with GP Networks and focuses on meeting the needs of residents with mental health needs and complex emotional needs via assessment, targeted meaningful interventions and supporting them to engage with relevant local resources.

You will be a central member of the multi-disciplinary team, participating/leading in the provision of high quality mental health meaningful interventions and promoting independence.

The role includes working closely with our community partners, including GP, staff and voluntary sector. The team’s vision is to move work from clinical settings into the community and focus on Newham's population health needs to dissolve boundaries between health and community.

Supervision and support will be given from the Operational Lead and there will also be opportunities for discipline specific development. ELFT has a focus on Quality Improvement and supporting staff with professional development.

The Clinical Lead Practitioner will provide supervision to a small number of staff, be responsible for overseeing the team's caseload, work with a discreet complex caseload as well as overseeing the team's performance in conjunction with the service's Operational Lead.

Maintain clinical direction and leadership, coordinating a team of clinical staff for the continuous and consistent provision of high-quality mental health care to people with mental health crisis in Psychiatry Liaison and the Crisis Pathway.

Lead the team in a way that supports the development of a culture of continuous improvement and learning.

Ensure the voice of service users and carers are captured and listened to.

Ensuring there is a framework for the ongoing clinical supervision and caseload management within the team, and for monitoring standards of clinical practice.

Facilitate regular time and space for team reflection.
