**IT Security Analyst To 50kOur client is a world leading manufacturer in military aerospace.
A vacancy has arisen for a IT Security Analyst in the IT department near Uxbridge. This role is responsible for ensuring our clients IT services, policies and processes achieve Industry standard certification and compliance as well as protecting the businessfrom emerging and known threats to business operations and data.
**Areas of Responsibility of the IT Security Analyst**:

- Security operations - respond to threats and incidents in a timely manner. Monitor information and security events for indications of suspicious activity and respond with corrective actions and escalations
- Operation and administration of our client's security technologies to ensure they are fully utilised and work in an effective manner
- Make best use of skills and technology to highlight threats and vulnerabilities whilst ensuring corrective programs and actions take place
- Actively contribute to the continuous development of security tools, technologies, processes and overall IT capability in the Management of Cyber Risk
- Maintain an awareness of the threat landscape affecting the organisation, ensuring that the associated risks are communicated and any mitigations are implemented
- To assist the IT Security Lead in maintaining an effective Cyber Security Strategy
- To work within the standard frameworks below and achieve compliance with the following:

- UK Government sponsored programs such as Cyber Essentials Plus and ISO 27001
- US DFAR requirements for Cyber reporting and security controls listed under NIST 800-171
- Critical Security Controls from the Council on Cyber Security
- To be an effective member of the Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT)
- Create and maintain an effective cybersecurity awareness training program
- Monitor and audit our interaction with third parties to ensure compliance with data protection and assurance of threat reduction
- Conducting audits across the IT and user base and making remediation recommendations to Management
- Perform any other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties in this job classification

**Education & Qualifications**:

- Degree or Diploma qualification
- Good A-Level results
- IT and Security Certification(s) such as CISSP, CompTIA Security+, MCSE, CCSE, CEH, CCNA

**Knowledge & Experience of the IT Security Analyst**:

- Applicants should have a minimum of 3 Years' demonstrable experience in a small to medium sized business working in the field of cyber security or SOC analyst role.
- Experience of working with advanced IT security technologies such as Carbon Black, Microsoft Defender, SIEM tools etc.
- Experience of implementing and using system and information monitoring solutions.
