Lecturer in Criminology

About the role:
The successful applicant will teach on core and optional criminology undergraduate units in the Department.

**This is a 18.5 hour, fixed term position, ending 31st August 2024**

About you:
Essential Skills:

- A good first degree together with a PhD or PhD in progress in a relevant discipline or equivalent qualifications
- Experience of delivering large undergraduate criminology units, particularly at an introductory level.
- Commitment to the University's strategic objectives, with a focus on supporting the student experience
- Commitment to the University's policies and procedures including promoting equality in your own area of responsibility and in general conduct.

Desirable:

- A PGCE, Certificate of Education, PGCLTHE or membership of the Higher Education Academy (or commitment to obtain within three years of appointment).
- Membership of relevant Professional bodies, demonstrating professional standing.
- Successfully publish results of research to the REF, in peer-reviewed journals or monographs, or publish/exhibit professional practice
