Bromford Alcester are recruiting for a Despatch Operator working 39 hours per week.

**Basis**: Permanent

**Shift Pattern**:Day shift - 07.30 to 16.30 Monday to Thursday, and 07.30 to 12.30 on Fridays, with designated breaks

**Location**: Bromford Alcester - B49 6EH

**Main duties and responsibilities***:

- Loading of despatch vehicles.
- Inward receipting of finished parts and lower level details, both physical and transactional.
- Packing of parts as per packing matrix.
- Control of the bonded stores area.
- Maintaining Inventory traceability.
- Maintaining inventory accuracy of the ERP stock records by using the Business ERP system; using Perpetual Inventory Control and other Stock-Take methods; ensuring accurate processing of stock movements, scrap control and other & material control transactions.
- Co-ordinate Financial Stock Take of Despatch Area.
- Control shelf-life consumables, e.g., paint, etc.
- Prepare and pack parts for despatch.
- Produce relevant release Paperwork.
- Produce Commercial Invoices as required.
- Control stock levels of consumable packing materials and order as required.
- Arrange transportation and associated processes.
- Ensure full compliance to all packing and packaging specifications within the plant (WIP packaging) and for external shipments.
- Ensure that all goods are made available from Stores, to meet manufacturing, sub-con and customer shipments including raw material, semi-finished, sub-assemblies and fully completed parts.
- Van Driving.
- Maintenance TPM.
- Ensure the Despatch Area is maintained in line with expected HSE and internal housekeeping requirements and standards.
- Booking In of Customer Returns.

**General responsibilities**
- Comply with all company Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) requirements.
- Read and understand the requirements on the Job Card for the operation to be carried out.
- Ensure that all the documentation required to carry out the operation in accordance with the Job Card is available at the point of use and at the correct revision.
- Read and understand all manufacturing instructions prior to commencing an operation i.e., packing instructions.
- Ensure that components identified as non-conforming during in process inspection are identified and communicated in accordance with the Non-Conformance Procedure.
- Complete all work booking requirements within the MRP system to ensure accurate WIP records.
- Follow work handling and storage instructions to prevent damage to components.
- Support Root Cause Analysis activities when non-conformance occurs to prevent reoccurrence.
- Carry out and record all TPM activities in accordance with the specified schedule for the equipment being operated.

- Has good communication skills
