Chia Naturally Healthy is a plant-based cafe in Hitchin. We promote healthy, plant-based living. Our kitchen is a fast-paced, high energy environment. All of the food that we sell is made in house - from the pesto in our sandwiches to the caramel sauce on our pancakes We are looking for a quick-learner who is enthusiastic about plant-based cooking to join our team. Kitchen experience preferred but not essential.

We're seeking a Kitchen Assistant to join our team and help support our line cooks and chefs. The Kitchen Assistant will be responsible for preparing and cleaning the kitchen, ensuring that food prep is completed on time, and assisting with general kitchen duties including chopping vegetables, washing dishes, and preparing food packaging.

**Responsibilities**:

- Assist the chefs in managing the kitchen and preparing meals.
- Assist in the storage of food, cooking ingredients, and related supplies.
- Clean up in the kitchen, including clearing tables, washing dishes, and cleaning cooking surfaces.
- Follow recipes and maintain food preparation areas.
- Search for ingredients.,.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 7 per week

**Salary**: £5.50-£7.50 per hour
