Dispatch Supervisor

R & K Drysdale are recruiting for a Dispatch Supervisor to join the current team.

This role has become required due to the increase in workload in the department due to the growth of the business.

The role will be on a 4 on 4 off schedule, however this can vary with seasonal demand, with a salary of £26,500 per annum. After successful completion of 6 month probation, the salary will increase to £29,000 per annum.

The primary role of a dispatch supervisor is to assist the manager and provide a positive contribution towards the department meeting required productivity levels and quality standards.

Other roles for the supervisor will include:

- Supervise and direct warehouse staff; put worker safety as a top priority. Motivate and lead warehouse staff to effectively carry out given tasks. Arrange the staff for early/late loading and unloading of vehicles. Abide by and enforce company rules and regulations when required.
- Safe operation of fork lift trucks; conducting daily vehicle safety checks and completing records accordingly, unloading and stacking away empty trays, stacking products in correct area and stock control in dispatch, load dispatched goods onto collection vehicles and moving required stock to dispatch when needed
- Track and account for all incoming and outgoing products. Perform various inventory counts; order supplies and goods as needed. Check delivery manifest corresponds with delivery notes.
- Print dispatch delivery notes.
- Check correct labels are being applied to pallets
- Confirm proper and timely dispatch of products, checking actual amounts dispatched and destinations are correct whilst ensuring all finished goods pallets are securely wrapped before dispatch**.**
- Maintain warehouse and machinery, ensuring equipment is serviced when needed and a clean and tidy workspace is always kept
- Achievement of set targets and performance standards
- Seek continual improvement in key target areas - productivity, efficiency, waste reduction, quality and costs.
- Assist the department supervisors in picking orders, highlighting any noticeable quality defects.
