**Public Convenience Attendant**

**Location: Rhyl**

**Salary: Grade 1 £10.50**

**Hours: 24 Hours Per Week. Various Monday to Friday and may involve occasional weekend work.**

**To act as a Public Convenience Attendant in the Rhyl area.**

**Job Purpose**

To provide an efficient Building Cleaning Service at Denbighshire County Council Sites.

**Principal Accountabilities and Responsibilities**

Perform cleaning tasks, to a satisfactory standard, as per the site cleaning specification and frequencies.

Ensure all lights are extinguished and windows secured on completion of cleaning operation.

Ensure safe working practices are adhered to at all times, in particular those relating to the use of machinery and chemical substances.

Report defective equipment immediately to the appropriate supervisor.

Order and receive cleaning materials as required.

Maintain storage lockers at cupboards in a clean and tidy condition.

Opening/Closing.

Complete signing in / signing out register each day.

Be properly attired at all times.

**Knowledge, Skills, Training and Experience**

An experienced cleaning operative with knowledge of general cleaning and the ability to perform task as instructed but immediate supervisor.

**Special Working Conditions**

Moderate Exposure to cleaning chemicals ( controlled under COSHH regulations ).

**Employment Checks/ Specific Requirements**

The post does not require a DBS.
