**The Role - Retail Cleaning Supervisor**

AM Services Group are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic and self-motivated Cleaning Supervisor to join our cleaning team at our client’s prestigious retail site in the Carlisle City Centre area

This is a Full-Time Permanent role 35 hours per week - 5 days over 7 including weekends The suitable person would have experience in managing a cleaning team and is passionate about providing excellent customer service. Day shift available from 7am - Overtime can be available to cover holidays and sickness

**Duties/Key Responsibilities**
- As a Working Cleaning Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the cleaning activities of a team of cleaners across the centre
- Managing the core functions of the Contract Cleaning ensuring that all cleaning tasks are completed to a high standard and that the cleaning team works efficiently and effectively.
- Adhere to all in-house Health and Safety Environmental policies and procedures.
- Ensure that equipment is used safely and maintained to the required standard by the Cleaning Team’s and that it is repaired appropriately as and when required
- Flexibility to ensure that formal rectification or ad-hoc cleaning issues are picked up and can be responded to and managed in a timely manner in line with the contract specification
- To build positive and productive working relationships with all customers, delivering excellent customer service and seeking ways to continuously improve and exceed expectations.
- Support the Site Support Manager with the people management of on-site employees, ensuring an accurate, effective, and consistent approach to people management in areas such as sickness and attendance, holiday management performance, and conduct standards and rotas, ensuring company policies, procedures and processes are adhered to at all times.

**Skills Required**:

- Experience of leading and motivating a team
- Take appropriate and decisive managerial action after considering a range of options
- You will need to evidence your honesty and reliability and always maintain a sense of pride in your professionalism in delivering excellent customer service.
- Key Holder experience
- Good timekeeping and attendance are both essential.
- Remain calm, objective and in control in stressful situations
- Respond positively to and learn from change, be receptive to new ideas
