**HR Advisor Job Description**

To provide a full range of Human Resources advisory services that cover employee relations, policy development, organisational change, and performance management. You will assist with the implementation of best practices and ensure compliance with UK employeelegislation and Company policies and procedures. This role also offers admin support to the HR Department.

**HR Advisor responsibilities**
- Providing first level advice on all people related matters and supporting disciplinary, grievance and appeal meetings. Advise managers on sickness absence issues including long term sick absence meetings and appeals ensuring the processes are managed inline with policy.
- Escalation of complex queries as appropriate
- Organising interview arrangements with hiring managers, Coordinating the appointment process with successful applicants including relevant paperwork. Coordinating the induction process for successful applicants/new starters including relevant paperwork
- Responding to high volume queries and case management, being responsible for personal time management and allocating time correctly.
- Training/upskilling line managers e.g., absence management, performance management
- Using HR information systems to access, input and compile data and carry out audits including new starters/ leavers and sickness absence
- reporting and analysing (in conjunction with the payroll department), headcount, Right to Work in UK, personal detailsetc
- Ownership of the probationary review process
- Working alongside HR Manager on succession/talent planning and identifying development needs
- Suggesting new HR working solutions to improve day-to-day operations
- Administration and facilitation of training records with line management
- Managing staff relationships, responding to any queries or problems that they have and managing their expectations
- Monitoring, reviewing and updating all HR policies and terms and conditions in-conjunction with HR Manager and ensuring these are in line with current legislation
- Acting as the point of contact for hiring managers and employees

**Requirements**:

- Personable with excellent communication skills across all levels of the business
- Practical and logical with excellent planning and problem-solving skills
- Able to work under pressure and to deadlines Organised and possesses high levels of attention to detail
- Ability to perform under own initiative and as part of a team
- Professional and positive approach
- Ability to quickly build and maintain positive working relationships.
- IT literate/ proven Microsoft Office experience
- Ability to produce and interpret management information reports
- Have the ability to maintain discretion when working with HR and employee relations issues
- Excellent verbal and written skills (as the ability to complete paper work is essential).
- Able to quickly learn and identify possible improvements to the work carried within the HR Department.

**Experience**
- Qualified to CIPD Level 5 Diploma in People Management or relevant experience at HR advisor level
- Have proven experience from a previous HR role of managing employee relations and performance management cases (including, disciplinary, grievance, sickness absence, and capability issues)
- Experience of providing HR advice and guidance to managers and staff on a wide range of HR matters and reporting and collating and analysing data.
- Will have a thorough knowledge and understanding of UK employment legislation.

Hours Mon - Fri 37.5 hours per week, 8:30am - 4:30pm
