We are delighted to be instructed to recruit a Head Chef and ½ Sous Chef for a unique and exciting Cardiff restaurant.

Our client' vision is an entirely new food venue / restaurant that takes unique fresh local produce, blazes it with fire and turns it into modern contemporary small plates in an unpretentious local setting. This is an opportunity for a passionate chef toshow flair, artistry, and work with modern Welsh ingredients, use local seasonal produce to make real local food over a true fire.

Community, collaboration, and commitment is our client's vision to make this successful restaurant, and this is an existing opportunity for the right person to be a key part of something special from the very beginning.

**ARE YOU -**a true team player? you will be required for committed roles in our Kitchen team that will be working afternoons and evenings in a North Cardiff suburb.

**Can you -**build a menu and cost it, prepare it, deliver it, and evolve it? Love it, improve it, and completely start again? Do you know your seasonal foods, want to make great plates of Welsh food? Flair, artistry and ideas are encouraged,and you will work with the owner to offer excellent varieties of dishes. Food without finance and fidelity won't make it and we're looking for a person who understands the balance.

**TO BE CONSIDERED**
- You will have previous experience in a busy, fast-paced kitchen environment within a similar role and working experience of being a true leader in the kitchen.
- You are passionate about food and drink and committed to delivering exceptional service.
- You can provide high food quality & consistency - ensuring all dishes are prepared, cooked, presented & delivered in accordance with our evolving standards.
- You have a passion for modern NEW cooking with a creative flair and high attention to detail.
- You have a high level of organisation in the workplace and strong kitchen management.
- You have practical experience complying with all current legislation, policies & procedures relating to Health & Safety and Food Hygiene
- You will have the ability to fully work key shifts and rota and manage additional kitchen staff to do the same.
