Lab Assistant

Rate of pay: From £11.50 per hour

Monday - Friday

Location. Church Stretton

Minimum 6-month contract to maximum 18-month contract

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Lab Assistant to join a prestigious global organisation based in Church Stretton.

In this important role you will be supporting synthesis and processing operations; ensuring products are manufactured efficiently, within the production schedule and to the high level of quality expected by customers

Key Responsibilities
- Work carefully according to EH&S and Quality (ISO9001:2015) guidelines
- Collect, prepare and set-up equipment and raw materials
- Maintain and calibrate equipment
- Produce and process products according to documented procedures
- Accurately record all process tasks and material movements
- Document any deviations as part as an open reporting culture
- Operate analytical/test equipment
- Keep the production area clean and organized
- Support team and site projects/initiatives
- Contribute ideas to and participate in Continuous Improvement activities

- No previous experience required
- Hands-on work in manufacturing (Desirable)
- SAP manufacturing systems (Desirable)
- Six Sigma or LEAN manufacturing techniques (Desirable)
