**Senior Care Assistant - The Knowle Care Home Preston**
**The Knowle Care Home** provides high-standard accommodation for up to 32 people who require personal care and also those with dementia.
We are currently seeking a **Senior Care Assistant** with a compassionate heart and a drive for excellence to join our dedicated team. This role is pivotal within our management structure, ensuring the seamless delivery and maintenance of Care and Support Plans for our residents.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- **Effective Coordination**: Work closely with Care Workers to ensure that Care and Support Plans are implemented efficiently.
- **Leadership**: Act as a role model in delivering superior care and support, setting the standard for others.
- **Personal Care Assistance**: Aid residents with personal care activities, including bathing, dressing, and grooming, with respect and dignity.
- **Social Engagement**: Facilitate and encourage participation in social activities, enhancing residents' quality of life.
- **Medication Administration**: Safely administer medication and accurately document medical information as per protocols.
- **Supportive Oversight**: Assist the Registered Manager in the continuous assessment and revision of Care and Support Plans.
**Requirements**:
- NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent) is required, with a commitment to achieve Level 3 (funding and support provided by us).
- Proven experience in a senior care role is essential.
- Demonstrable leadership qualities and strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to operate both autonomously and collaboratively.
- Exceptional communication skills.
- Comprehensive understanding of regulatory standards and compliance requirements.
