Advent Bioservices is a growing Contract Development and Manufacturing Organisation (CDMO) providing manufacture of Advanced Therapeutic Medicinal Products (ATMPs) and related products, process development and ancillary services. The facility in Sawston, Cambridge, holds MHRA Specials, MIA(IMP) and MIA licenses.

Job Summary

We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic, dedicated and friendly person who is proactive and hardworking to join our team. You will be working as part of the Facilities Team to ensure a safe, secure and accessible site which meets the needs of a wide range of internal stakeholders, visitors and contractors, providing excellent customer service at all times.

Working in the Facilities team, you will carry out varied tasks, from basic maintenance, site security and upkeep of the facilities. Every day is different within Facilities and being both reactive and completing planned works is a key part of this role.

Experience of working in a caretaking role would be advantageous, but not essential. Enthusiasm, flexibility, motivation and team work is essential to this role.

Key responsibilities for this role include:

- Maintaining clean, safe and secure premises, including locking and unlocking the premises as required, including out of hours, when necessary
- Carry out and record regular health and safety checks e.g., water temperature testing and promote good health and safety across the facility
- Carrying out cleaning, handy person activities, routine maintenance and repairs and, porterage
- Carry out emergency cleaning duties, such as gritting and cleaning up spillages
- Carry out daily cleaning and ad-hoc duties, such as polishing, mopping, and arranging the disposal of waste
- Ensure the grounds are well maintained to ensure the safety and tidiness of all outside areas including the car park and footpaths
- Supervise and support external contractors when required so that any works are conducted safely and in line with all company policies

You will have the following experience/qualifications:

- Professional approach to all tasks undertaken with an ability to work without supervision and to deadlines
- Flexibility and a willingness to be reactive to tasks as they change day to day
- Strong organisational skills
- Personable and friendly with a high level of interpersonal skills
- Reliable and punctual
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Ability to operate and maintain some basic machinery e.g. gardening equipment
- Basic maintenance skills and a can do attitude
- Good knowledge and understanding of Health and Safety regulations
