Senior Care Assistant

Senior Carer

You will support the Management Team in the overall running of this small and locally supported 17 bed care home.

You will be able to provide leadership and support for care staff and act as a champion for promoting residents participation, Health, wellbeing and safety.

You will be able to provide care and support to adults using residential care and have responsibility for co-ordinating the development and implementation of personal plans.

Ideally you will have SVQ level 3 Health and Social Care (or equivalent) or be willing to work towards this. You must have at lease 12 months experience in a senior carer position, and be competent in the management and administration of medication and personal planning.

You will be required to become registered with SSSC on the correct part of the register within the required timescales and to maintain registration.

You will have a drive and willingness for personal development participating in internal and external training to meet the requirements of your role.

You will have the ability to actively listen and be able to communicate effectively with others.

Most important of all you will be kind and thoughtful, with a positive attitude and a willingness to lead your team to work in the best interest of the residents at all times.

You must be able to work shifts including weekends on a rota basis.

The successful applicant will be required to have an enhanced disclosure check carried out.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £11.50-£11.70 per hour
