Parkside Academy is a single form Primary school with approximately 300 students, a Good Ofsted rating and excellent potential for the future. The school is part of the Furness Education Trust, a multi-academy trust based in Barrow in Furness, Cumbria. Currently comprised of five academies, the Trust aims to develop best practice in each school across the whole Trust, by collaborating and working together to give the best of everything to every child. Being located near the centre of the historic shipbuilding town and close to the southern boundary of the Lake District National Park, Parkside Academy serves the Furness community.
- Have previous experience of working in the sports coaching and/or education sector.
- Have experience working with EYFS and Key Stages 1 and 2.
- Hold a Level 2 sports qualification or similar in the sports/education sector.
- Have high expectations and demonstrate a commitment to raising standards and achieving the best for all of our children.
- Be an excellent communicator.
- Have a knowledge and understanding of effective pupil behaviour management.
- Have the ability to engage and enthuse all children through sport.
