**Job Title: Senior Forwarder**

**Location: Feltham**

**Salary: Competitive**

**Hours of work: Monday-Friday, 9am-5:30pm**

**Summary of the role**

The Senior Forwarder is part of the UK Freight Forwarding department. To provide an excellent customer service experience for our customers including clearances, quotes, arranging shipment/deliveries, invoicing and all other functions as required. Working within the pharmaceutical division.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Ability to lead local team in absence of the supervisor.
- Train new team members to company standards, customer service and job duties.
- Provide effective communication to team members, supervisors, management and customers.
- Maintain strong working knowledge of the company, it’s processes/products/services.
- GDP and Pharmaceutical knowledge and experience.
- Completion of end to end forwarding activities.
- Follow strict, time sensitive SOP’s/KPI’s to ensure compliance.
- Work closely with internal and external customers, with a strong focus on customer service and resolving any queries.
- Maintain excellent relationships with suppliers.
- Ensure invoicing, job costing, CIA, Netting and milestone are updated within the required timeframe.
- Month end department compliance.
- Operate within companies QA system.
- Any other tasks as directed by their Supervisor or line manager.

**Requirements**:

- Minimum of 3 years operational experience
- Experience in the pharmaceutical industry (preferably within logistics)
- Customs knowledge
- Knowledge in of the international transportation and logistics industry, in export Air Sea Road operations.
- Knowledge and understanding of financials and impact on business
- Good knowledge of IT systems and processes used in the transport sector

**Person Specification**
- Result-oriented and driven to achieve goals and meet targets.
- Problem solving skills.
- Ability to read and understand an SOP.
- Deep knowledge of the financial contexts the business exists within.
- Flexible in approach and happy to work shifts as required including weekends.
- Educated to GCSE/O level standard or equivalent.
