Barista

We are a family run cafe by the visitor centre on the Northam Burrows by the beach that is open 7 days a week all year around.

**Job Introduction**

This is a great opportunity for a customer focused individual to join our family run business, Your job purpose will be to deliver the perfect cup of coffee to every customer in line with our high standards whilst at the same time delivering outstanding customer service.

**Role Responsibility**
- To deliver the highest levels of customer service in line with our high standards
- To produce & serve all drinks to our high standards & recipes
- To produce & present all food to our high standards
- Maintain stock levels/availability by replenishing display/fridges
- To maintain standards of Health,Safety & cleanliness
- To sell & demonstrate product knowledge by advising the customer/answering queries & suggesting products to the customer as part of the ordering process.
- To act on initiative to optimise sales to the customer
- To operate the till in line with our till operation & cash handling procedures
- To maintain customer areas to our high standards
- To attend work at designated shifts (Time and attendance)
- To attend team meetings as required
- To complete the daily checklist and rectify/notify areas of non compliance
- To Complete all tasks required by the daily cleaning schedule

**Essential**
- Has previous work experience working as a barista
- Enthusiasm to execute outstanding customer service
- Friendly manner
- Communicate confidently with customers
- Flexible approach (ability to be multi skilled)
- Honest and Open
- Willing to learn
- Ability to work within a team and individually (dependant on volume of shift)
- Presentable
- Reliable/Committed - delivery of shifts
- Flexible/committed to be available for shifts. Transport would be helpful as you will need to get to the burrows easily, we will issue you with a pass to gain entry.

Pay is negotiable (dependent on your experience and skill level). Plus your share of the tips. You will be entitled to a 20% staff discount on all food and drink at The Royal George, Pebbleridge kitchen, Authentic Delivery and at the Burger Van.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: From £11.50 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 30 per week
