The Key Responsibilities
- To provide individual and small group support to students with English and as an additional language
- To assess the needs of individual EAL students
- To develop programmes of support that address the need of individual EAL students, scheduling when the support will happen in consultation with the Assistant SENCO
- To deliver the programmes of support to the individual EAL students
- To evaluate the impact of the support and use this evaluation to adapt the provision to reflect the students' emerging needs
- To communicate the students' progress to their parents/carers and the Assistant SENCO and other relevant colleagues in school.
