**ABOUT YOU**

City Cruises have a fantastic opportunity for 4 individuals to join as Trainee Skippers and train up to become Passenger Boat Skippers.

Our Training team at City Cruises will provide you with all the necessary training in order for you to gain your Boatmasters licence from the Maritime and Coastguard Agency (MCA) and become part of the Skipper team here in York. From there you will be able to progress through our fleet of vessels, at an appropriate training rate, to develop your skills and experience in role.

As a qualified Skipper, you will be responsible for safely navigating our vessels, leading the crew team onboard, providing live commentary on the points of interest along the cruise and making sure that our guests have the best experience whilst they are with us.

This is a full-time, permanent position joining at £11.75/hr when you start training and increasing when you become qualified and as you train on vessels within the fleet.

Although experience in the maritime industry or skippering vessels is not required as full training will be provided, experience in Leadership, Food and Beverage, Retail and/or Health and Safety would be advantageous.
