- Answer incoming calls in a professional manner using Hanson's standard call answering script and in line with set KPIs
- Effectively manage all customer calls through actively listening to what the customer is saying in order to capture all the relevant information required to process the customer order or enquiry; asking relevant questions and communicating in an empathic, confident and assertive manner
- Negotiate customer time windows to ensure a flat delivery profile.
- Produce pre plan costs of supply supported by the Pre planner on a daily basis
- Daily liaison with allocations controller to identify planning issues and recommend corrective actions.
- Daily plant communication to agree both current and future day mixing schedule.
- Control real time order amendment and plant breakdowns with the allocators.
- Create and review Mixing programmes for plant within your area.
- Review of Mixing programmes for future enhancements.

**Skills / Experience**

**Essential**:
Essential:

- Good level of commitment to customer service and satisfaction
- Excellent communication skills
- Previous planning experience
- Detailed product knowledge.
- Understands risks associated with supplying incompatible material
- Knowledge of construction industry and products
- Knowledge of local and national geography
- Daily user of SAP
- Advanced excel skills

Desirable:

- Operational knowledge of Hanson marine, its activities and products
- Operational knowledge of Hanson rail, its activities and products
- Allocator cycle knowledge and understanding.

Experience
- Experience - 1 year customer sales/service/operations/transport role
- Management/ Leadership Skills
- Proven capability to build effective working relationships with customers and colleagues
- Demonstrated ability to use own initiative to improve performance and service.

The role holder is expected:

- to comply with all aspects of the Hanson Compliance Policy
- to ensure that all the business/operations are performed in accordance with instructions and procedures and in such a way so as to prevent any fraudulent activities taking place
- to comply with the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974 and to observe the requirements of the Company Safety Policy and other relevant legislation
- to update all areas of knowledge as required to carry out the job with maximum effectiveness and to attend training/development courses as and when required
- to comply will all aspects of the HR Policies and Procedures of the Company
