Yard Supervisor

We currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Yard Supervisor to join our team in our Birtley Depot. The purpose of the role is to manage as required in the storage, movement and recording of materials, plant, transport, fuels, and consumables.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- To carry out as requested all Depot/Warehouse functions in line with safe working practice... driving and operating all Plant and Vehicles in line with manufacturers’ specifications.
- Responsible for the admin management, reporting and analysing of all relevant paperwork for the depot stores.
- Ensure the depot and associated areas are kept in a clean, safe, and tidy condition.
- Carry out all daily vehicle and plant checks on any vehicles and plant used by yourself and report any issues to relevant staff member.
- Ensure all items that are required to be recorded and reported are completed in line with the timeline and quality required
- PPE as required must be worn at all times.
- Ensure your required productivity levels are maintained.
- Report any issues identified directly to your line manager
- You have a duty of care to yourself, your colleagues, and the public.
- To carry out any projects or functions commensurate with your abilities as the company shall at its discretion determine.

**Skills and Experience**:

- Exellent Communication.
- Be able to prioritize, organise and manage tasks.
- Must be very well presented and act professionally.
- Comfortable working outside in all elements of weather.
- Good observational skills, with good eye for detail.
- Must have excellent IT skills, specifically in Excel reporting to efficiently run a barcoded store.
- Have a great understanding of customer service.
- Must have a valid telehandler licence.
- Must be flexible with working hours from time to time.
- Previous experience as a store/yard man preferred.
