Our client based in Dungannon are currently recruiting for an Accounts Assistant to join their award-winning team

**The Role**:
Main duties & responsibilities:

- Purchase ledger invoice processing and reconciliation of supplier balances
- Customer credit control
- Support payroll processing when applicable (weekly & monthly)
- VAT returns / EC Sales List / Intrastat returns support
- Weekly & monthly bank reconciliations
- Maintenance of internal databases and accounting system information
- Provide timely and accurate reports and general administration support for the financial controller
- Assistance with monthly management accounts
- Any other duties within reason as and when required

**Essential Criteria**:

- Minimum of 3 years accounts assistant experience gained within a commercial environment
- Experience of purchase ledger processing and month end closure procedures
- Credit control experience
- Strong working knowledge of computerised Accounts Packages (e.g. SAGE Accounts & Payroll)
- MRP experience
- Strong working knowledge of all MS Office Packages
- Highly organised and meticulous with the ability to work to strict deadlines
- Ability work independently & on own initiative as well as part of a team
- Highly confidential Desirable Criteria:

- Accounting Technician certificate (e.g., IATI / AAT)
- Experience in assisting with compilation of management accounts
- Experience within a high volume manufacturing environment
- Strong working knowledge of GDPR
