We are looking for a **Director of European & Africa Sales** to join our growing organization

**General Position Summary**

As the Director of European and African Sales, you will be at the helm of directing and managing all sales and business development operations for both direct and distribution partners. This encompasses overseeing market competitiveness, pricing, compensation structures, and distribution and channel strategy. The geographical scope includes direct, distributor and key account sales in Europe and Africa (excluding North Africa). Operating as a crucial member of the Global Sales Leadership Team, you will contribute to shaping and implementing product market strategies for sustained differentiation and growth.

**Essential Functions / Major Responsibilities**
- Monitor market trends and competitor activity to inform the development of Product Market strategies that differentiate our offerings.
- Interface with Operations, Finance, and Technical Service functions to achieve business objectives and enhance customer satisfaction.
- Develop and execute comprehensive sales and marketing plans to increase sales, market share, and profitability.
- Ensure alignment of strategic and operational business plans with overall goals and annual operating plans.
- Oversee accurate sales planning, forecasting, and product flow within sales channels.
- Collaborate with the Product Development Team and engineers to address customer needs in new products.
- Represent the company at trade shows and conferences, expanding the brand's image and visibility.
- Provide support and leadership in negotiations, sales team performance management, and compensation strategies.
- Work closely with the EMEA Director of Finance & Administration, ensuring a cohesive approach.
- Execute proactive reviews of channels to market, managing the portfolio over time.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of the unique cultural differences within the European Market.

**Specific Job Requirements**
- Executive-level financial analysis and business acumen.
- Ability to plan and manage at both strategic and operational levels.

- Proven success in bringing new products to market in collaboration with product management and marketing.
- Effective presentation skills for varied audiences through verbal, written, and presentations.

- Understanding of the influence of advertisement and marketing.
- Ability to track trends in the industry and emerging markets.
- Experience with a specific sales methodology and sales funnel management.

**Education and Experience Requirements**
- Bachelor's degree (MBA preferred).
- Fifteen years of successful sales and sales leadership experience.
- Experience in multi-channel distribution strategy with direct and distribution partner sales in Europe.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Access, Visio, PowerPoint.
- Extensive knowledge of the business and industry preferred.
- Experience in CRM introduction to sales level and new CRM rollout.
- History of analyzing, developing, and executing market strategies for the European Market.
- Data-driven decision-maker with the ability to extract, consolidate, and present sales data.
- Experience with a multi-national company, corporate reporting structure, and corporate functional leadership.
- Experience in developing and executing sales contracts.
- Experience in working with a small, dynamic business.
