We have an opportunity available for a full time Support Worker (£11.65p/h) to work across two of our services in Cheshire West.

This is a dual role and you would be working 12 hours in our Learning Disabilities Carer service and 27 hours on our Cheshire West Support service.

**Responsibilities**:
As a Learning Disabilities Carer Support Worker, you will provide a values based support, advice and information service and empower and help carers with a range of issues on a one-to-one basis by providing emotional support and assist carers to develop coping strategies.

The role will also involve planning peer support groups such as coffee mornings and walks and referring carers on to other services

that they may benefit from.

As a Mental Health Support Worker you will empower our service users to meet their set goals such as looking for work and also assist

them to access the community.

Own transport is essenital for the role as it is community based and you must be willing to drive throughout Cheshire West.

This role is fixed term till September 2024.

Qualifications:
Previous experience of working with people who experience mental ill health and/or carers or have experience of mental health, dementia, learning disabilities is essential for this role.

On joining Making Space you will be supported step by step with on-the-job training as well as the opportunity to undertake professional qualifications if desired and required for your role.
