**Solicitor -Disease**

**Job Purpose**

We are seeking a solicitor with 5 years + PQE with a strong flair for defending hearing loss claims handling to join a growing vibrant team in the Belfast office.

**Key Accountabilities**
- Develop and maintain key and new client relationships, including attendance at appropriate client meetings
- Handling own caseload of NIHL and disease claims including high value/complex/nominated cases with appropriate assistance and agreed performance metrics (chargeable hours and billing)
- Assist in increasing the profile of Keoghs NI in the Disease market (which may include the production of marketing information including articles/blogs, delivering training/seminars etc)
- Contribution to relevant contract tender submissions
- Lead the development of key strategies to combat opponent behaviours

**Working Hours**

35 hours per week. Primary location for this role is the Belfast office

**Experience, Skills and Qualifications**

**Essential Skills and Attributes**:
**Essential**
- Previous experience in litigated defendant insurance work, particularly NIHL
- An ability to prioritise workload & strong attention to detail
- Ability to work with case management systems

**Desirable**
- experience in EL/PL casualty cases as well as other industrial disease claims including HAVS, Mesothelioma, Plaques and Asbestosis claims and Dermatitis, Covid and Stress Claims

- Ability to identify pragmatic solutions to challenges
