Maintenance Technician required for my client based in Aylesford, Kent, who work within the food and beverage manufacturing solutions industry.

The successful Maintenance Technician will join a proactive team and help with all maintenance performance within the business.

**Maintenance TechnicianPosition Overview**
- Perform Routine checks on planned maintenance items.
- Prioritize and Make repairs to any site breakdowns.
- Support the Engineering Manager with the delivery of the PPM system and general maintenance tasks.
- Weekly site inspection reporting.
- Handle and report back to engineering manager on reactive T-card jobs.
- Deputize for Engineering manager for absence cover report to Production manager in this event.
- Active involvement in continuous improvements as needed and guided by Engineering manager.
- Attend morning meetings for added site engineering coverage report back to engineering manager with actions/comments.
- Carry out installations on facility to all current legislation and regulations
- Keep an eye on stock levels of spares holdings, make engineering manager aware of any spares required.
- Keep workshop and engineering stores clean and tidy ensure bins are empty and metal filings are kept to a minimum.
- Make sure food hygiene and food safety standards are upheld at all times.
- Ensure smooth handovers across shifts and communicate effectively with other maintenance technician.

**Maintenance TechnicianPosition Requirements**
- Multi-skilled maintenance experience.
- Electrical and mechanical Installation experience.
- Good understanding of health and safety practices champions this across site and looks out for others. IOSH or higher Preferred.
- Good Basic hydraulic knowledge.
- Good basic Pneumatic Knowledge.
- Good knowledge of food safety expectations and upholds them to ensure we never risk our products.
- Keen to listen and learn so to acquire knowledge and new skills to always self-improve
- Flexible able to cover call outs and weekend call out Rota.
- Self
- motivated and keen attitude to do more than expected and deliver excellent service
- Shift work experience and call out prepared.
- Suitable relevant engineering qualifications (minimum engineering NC or NVQ2 or 3) electrical/mechanical bias or mixed is preferred.
- Electrical competency (E.g. 18th Edition).
- PLC and Drive experience beneficial.
- Plumbing or HVAC experience beneficial.

Metal working experience and TIG welding in particular stainless steel is beneficial.

Competent using hand tools and power tools.
- Based within a commutable distance of Aylesford, Kent.
- Full UK driving licence.

**Maintenance TechnicianPosition Remuneration**
- Salary - £30,000 to £32,000 - dependent upon skill, qualifications and experience.
- Full time working position - 6am to 6pm - 4 on / 4 off working pattern.
