Packaging Inspector - Full Time - Leeds, United Kingdom

Come and join Sulzer Pumps UK in Leeds as our Packaging Inspector.

We are looking for someone to join and strengthen our inspection team. You will have the freedom to use your own initiative and skillset to support our repair procedures, quality assurance whilst showcasing your commitment to product quality. If you are highly motivated, organised, a good communicator and have a keen eye for detail with an engineering background we would love to hear from you

**Your main tasks and responsibilities**:

- Demonstrate a good aptitude for fault finding and in making recommendations for the refurbishment of pumps and associated components to an as-new condition
- Liaise regularly with the Engineering department in providing the necessary documentation for repairs and refurbishment
- Work closely with contracts department and customer’s representative on witness inspection points
- Continuously work to reduce costs and improve quality by suggesting new ideas and help implement new ways of working
- Help develop new skills and to be responsible for embedding these skills within the team
- Responsible for creating drawings for refurbishment of components

**To succeed in this role, you will need**:

- Relevant experience within related industry including knowledge of industry practices & standards
- Knowledge of repairs workshop processes and procedures
- Knowledge of Health & Safety requirements including completion of risk assessments
- Good Computer skills
- Excellent Customer Service and Communication Customer service skills
- Ability to act independently
- Excellent attention to detail skills
- Positive can-do attitude
