Part Time Seasonal Retail Assistant

We are recruiting for a Retail Assistant to work at Otter Garden Centre, Teignmouth. This is a part-time role for 18 hours a week working over 3 days a week.

You will be working in our plant area where you will be helping customers, replenishing and maintaining plant stock and other general duties.

**Duties will include**:

- Assisting customers with product enquiries.
- Keeping plant areas tidy and ensuring new stock is put out in a timely manner.
- Watering plants.
- Keep plants in a healthy condition.
- Helping customers transport their purchases to their car.
- General housekeeping duties
- Horticultural knowledge will be an advantage for this role including plant care
- Have experience of working in a retail environment.
- Be a strong team player
- Be able to follow instructions and guidelines.
- Be comfortable working outside in all weather.
- Be able to work on own initiative.

This role involves heavy lifting, moving plants on trolleys, lifting plants, for example.

**Days and Hours**

18 hours a week on a rota basis to include 6 hrs on a Sunday.
