FACTORY CLEANER Job description

**FACTORY CLEANER PURPOSE**:
Your primary purpose is to ensure the factory is kept to a high standard. This means delivering high standards of cleaning throughout the site in accordance with company, customer and legal requirements. As a hygiene operative you'll play an important role working across all of the production areas ensuring all machinery and equipment are cleaned to strict standards of hygiene at all times.

**FACTORY CLEANER DUTIES**
- Clean all plant, fixed and moveable equipment and production areas
- Report defects to your manager which needs specialised maintenance
- Report issues to your manager that may impact upon the integrity of the clean
- Ensure all cleaning activities are carried out and signed off
- Complete all cleaning records accurately and timely
- Operate Air Hose, Power Washer and Floor Machine
- Ensure all cleaning tasks carried out in accordance with Cleaning Instruction Cards
- Achieve required output and standards of hygiene within defined time
- Work in a safe hygienic manner
- Ensure the safe use of chemicals
- Comply with the Company’s Cleaning Instruction Cards (CICs) and standards expected by the company
- Ensure no residue when wiping down all equipment
- Achieve the required output and quality of work within the defined time.
- Ensure waste is correctly disposed in accordance with company procedure and environmental systems
- Maintain effective and positive communication with colleagues, team leaders and managers.
- Adopt and demonstrate clean as you go within your work
- Participate in mandatory site training relating to chemical awareness, H&S and Food Hygiene
- Carry out other reasonable duties within the context of the company’s operational requirements

**FACTORY CLEANER SKILLS**
- Manual work requiring physical energy - sweeping, mopping, scraping, scrubbing
- Ability to stand, stoop, bend and kneel
- Work independently and as part of a team

- 8 hour shift
