**EY111 Aircraft Airframe Repair Technician**
**Location: Carterton, Oxfordshire**
**Salary: £27,879 to £29,098 per Annum + Benefits**
**Overview**:
First Military Recruitment are currently supporting our client in the search for an Aircraft Airframe Repair Technician.
This role focuses on airframe repairs, composite experience desirable but not essential.
There may be an opportunity to be trained in the composite arena. Work is carried out on and off aircraft.
**Duties and Responsibilities of an Aircraft Airframe Repair Technician**:

- Supervise and work with colleagues under your control to ensure they deliver effective, efficient, “right first time every time” output to the customers.
- Ensure that all maintenance and tasks are correctly certified and that records of maintenance carried out are retained safely and securely for the statutory period.
- Unless previously reported by the Operator, the Engineering Manager is responsible for reporting to the DE&S Delivery (DT) any condition of the aircraft (or component), which could hazard safety.
- Follow and promote good maintenance procedures and practices.
- Ensure compliance with relevant Quality Systems.
- Notify the company Structures Bay Team leader whenever deficiencies emerge that require their attention in respect of safety, risk compliance, airworthiness and engineering standards.
- Must implement and promote a “Zero Harm” Open Reporting Safety Culture where all individuals are willing and able to report any issue or event which they believe has or could potentially lead to a Safety risk.

**Skills and Qualifications**:

- Current working knowledge and experience of Aircraft Structural Metal repairs on aircraft and in the bay environment. Including damage assessment, frame skin replacements, fuselage damage repairs, structural component changes, corrosion removal, manufactureof repair parts, drilling, countersinking, riveting, close tolerance work and bolting of replacement parts.
- Sheet metal fabrication experience within aerospace industry.
- Ability to read and understand airframe repair drawings and instructions.
- Effective working knowledge of current Aviation Maintenance regulatory requirements, processes and procedures.
- Must have high standards of oral and written communication skills.
- Due to the nature of the role, you must be able to achieve MoD Security Clearance.
