Job Introduction
We have an exciting opportunity to join our Buying team as a Buyer for our Toys category.

Buying is at the heart of our strategy and more than ever we want to continue providing Top Brands at Bottom Prices for our customers.

As a Buyer for toys, you will be responsible for the strategic development of this category, meticulously curating a diverse range of offerings at optimal price points and quality standards. Additionally, you will maintain a keen eye on inventory management to guarantee seamless availability of products, thereby enhancing the overall customer experience.

Job Overview
- You will develop and implement our in-store toys offering based on sales, market and consumer trends, based on our buying principles.
- You will be responsible for supplier reviews with preferred suppliers to negotiate source and implement new, promotional ideas.
- You will manage the product development cycle from sample reviews through to product placement based on our store bandings.
- You will manage the performance of suppliers and KPIs for your category.
- You will manage stock forecasting and availability and ensure product and pricing issues are resolved for your category.
- You will develop and implement in store and online promotions including visual merchandising guides for store colleagues for my category.

Minimum Criteria To Apply
- Experience of working in a buyer role ideally in retail business.
- Experience in own label and branded toy buying.
- Experienced in merchandising.
- Strong commercial and market awareness
- Works well under pressure and to tight and often conflicting timeframes
- Excellent attention to detail; able to analyse data and spot trends
- A confident communicator and relationship builder
- Excellent organisational and problem solving skills and a real 'can do' attitude

Package
- Competitive salary - DOE
- Based in Liverpool Head Office, with the occasional requirement to visit stores, trade fairs and suppliers
