37.5 hours per week but with flexibility to work weekends, evenings, school and bank holidays as required

Working with Firstsite’s Head of Audience and Communications and Marketing Assistant - as well as across all areas of the Programme and Operations - the Marketing Coordinator will help ensure that marketing and communications for all activities at Firstsite are effective and engaging in order to attract and retain a diverse audience, increase brand awareness, build footfall and meet income targets.

You’ll be responsible for developing innovative and creative marketing activities to promote Firstsite’s programme including, but not limited to, exhibitions, events, cinema, workshops and classes, learning activities and café, shop and venue hire.

You will thrive in a fast-moving environment, able to multitask across a range of responsibilities including coordinating marketing activity and materials against deadlines, updating and maintaining the website, the coordination of social media, creation of newsletters and artworks, paid social media advertising, and any other marketing activity as required.

The Marketing Coordinator will liaise closely with all relevant Firstsite staff members as required.

Essential (E) Desirable (D)

**Knowledge**
- An intermediate level of knowledge of design software (InDesign, Photoshop) (E)
- Awareness of local arts and creative industries (D)

**Experience**
- Proven experience of coordinating a wide range of marketing activities, meeting targets and deadlines to successfully promote events, products and services (E)
- Experience in planning and running successful social media campaigns, including creating written and video content, GIFs, and branded content for IG and FB stories, as well as commissioning content from colleagues and partners (E)
- Experience of creating dynamic and engaging content in a fast-paced environment for a diverse range of audiences across multiple digital and print channels (E)
- Experience creating print and digital promotional materials using Photoshop/InDesign (E)
- Experience of undertaking data analysis to evaluate the effectiveness of marketing activity and produce reports including campaign evaluations (D)
- Experience of creating high quality short films either independently or with a 3rd party video production team (D)
- Experience of utilising search engine optimisation to improve digital reach and engagement (D)

**Skills**
- Outstanding communications skills including exceptional spelling, grammar and copywriting skills, and the ability to produce high quality, creative and effective marketing material. (E)

- A high level of digital proficiency with the confidence to use or learn to use a wide range of digital tools including Hootsuite (or similar) and Google Analytics (E)
