Veterinary Receptionist

**We are looking for an enthusiastic, positive and experienced person to join our Client Care team, working between our Wimborne and Bournemouth branches**

**About the Role**:
Reporting to the group's Client Care Manager, the role is full time (40 hours) working 8am - 7pm four days per week (Monday to Friday) plus 1 in 4 Saturday mornings between 8am - 1pm on a rota.
- Greeting clients and visitors to the Practice in a friendly and helpful manner and provide high levels of customer care
- Ensuring client areas are always clean and tidy. Hoovering and mopping reception area between consulting blocks and at the end of the day. Clean up any ‘accidents’ in waiting room as required.
- Answering the telephone and directing calls to the appropriate department and person, taking detailed messages and following up as required
- Making appointments and hospital bookings for clients
- Ensuring clients leave with medication prescribed and understand how and when to use this.
- Taking payments from clients and following up outstanding balances as required.
- Assisting with front of house stock monitoring and replenishment.
- Processing client orders
- Receiving and arriving deliveries and wholesaler orders
- End of day ashing up and reconciliation
- Administrative tasks as required, including but not limited to scanning, filing, insurance admin, creating literature and displays.

**About You**:

- You don't need to have Veterinary experience, as training and on the job support will be provided.
- You will have a background in customer service - ideally in a face to face capacity with experience managing a diary and liaising with multiple team members and the public.
- You are enthusiastic and keen to be part of a big team, engaging with practice initiatives and supporting your colleagues during times of need.
- You are an excellent communicator with a positive outlook and a proactive approach.

**Salary**: £10.50 per hour
