Groundsperson (Ft)

Multi Trades Recruitment are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our team as a Council Groundskeeper.

As a member of the Grounds Maintenance Unit the post holder will be required to carry out a wide range of general maintenance and horticultural duties at various locations throughout the City area, to include Golf Courses, Public parks, Cemeteries, sports facilities, playing fields, landscaped areas and open spaces.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Maintaining the appearance of the grounds through regular mowing, hedge trimming, and landscaping.
- Planting and maintaining flower beds, trees, and other vegetation.
- Removing litter and debris from the grounds.
- Identifying and addressing any issues with the grounds, such as erosion or drainage problems.
- Operating and maintaining equipment, such as lawn mowers and power tools.
- Collaborating with other council staff and contractors to ensure the best possible outcome for the grounds.

**Qualifications**:

- Proven experience as a groundskeeper or a similar role.
- Knowledge of horticulture and landscaping techniques.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
- Physical stamina and ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Valid driver's license and ability to operate equipment.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings and weekends.
