**Head of Corporate Affairs **Role Summary**:
The Head of Corporate Affairs is the primary contact from the Corporate Affairs team in each airport’s leadership team. They act as the first point of contact for the Airport Managing Director and work within the leadership team to support the design of the airport’s strategy and ensure Corporate Affairs resources are appropriately directed towards achieving that strategy.

Within the Corporate Affairs team, the Head of Corporate Affairs is directly responsible for managing local public affairs resource and then provide matrix management for media, social media, customer feedback and CSR resource in the airport. In this capacity they ensure that each of part of the airport’s Corporate Affairs and CSR understands the overall strategy for the airport and what they need to do to support the strategy.

As well as sitting on their airport’s leadership team, they are part of MAG’s Corporate Affairs leadership team and work as part of that team to ensure that the Corporate Affairs activity is joined-up across the Group.

**A day in a life of a **Head of Corporate Affairs**:

- Contribute to the development of the airport’s priorities and use them to create, develop and deliver an airport-specific corporate affairs agenda that aligns to MAG’s overall corporate affairs strategy in agreement with Group functional leads in Corporate Affairs.
- Strategically and tactically advise the Managing Director, the Airport Leadership Team, the Corporate Affairs leadership team and other leaders across MAG on local reputation, media, customer sentiment, public affairs and policy developments - to support decision-making at the airport; and wider business decision-making including the overall corporate affairs strategy for the Group.
- Act as the primary contact point and Corporate Affairs account manager for the Managing Director.
- Lead local public affairs activity for the airport, providing insight into the agenda and priorities of key policy-makers and influencers; driving engagement for the airport and building strong relationships with key stakeholders; and influencing local and regional political leaders, policy makers and lobby groups.
- Provide account leadership to other Corporate Affairs and CSR teams at the airport in a matrix and squad-like structure, working closely with the Corporate Affairs functional leaders, particularly the Communications Director and Head of Customer Communications, to share intelligence and ensure that the airport strategy is delivered while remaining aligned with overall Group objectives.
- Oversee the planning and delivery of local external campaigning activity across multiple audiences and channels at an airport, ensuring campaigns are run with MAG messaging and tone of voice.
- Project leader on airport-specific projects, drawing on matrix resource from across corporate affairs.
- Represent Corporate Affairs in the Airport Leadership Team, Advisory Board and Consultative Committee meetings.
- Measure and report on the success of activity within an airport against group Corporate Affairs metrics and KPIs
