Our client, a leading independent firm of Chartered Accountants are seeking an Accounts Senior/Assistant Manager join their growing Accounts and Business Services team in Southampton.

As an Accounts Senior or Assistant Manager you will be responsible for managing a mixed portfolio of clients, as well as leading and developing the team and guiding junior staff. The role will involve preparation of accounts and providing advice and supportfor more complex clients.

Duties will include:

- Lead and develop an effective team
- Monitor the team - review the team’s work, ensuring quality in compliance with professional standards
- Manage team and individual budgets and performance objectives
- Oversee and control completion of accounts’ assignments including assessing controls, systems and planning
- Manage client relationships and identify opportunities
- Maintain a high technical and professional standard
- Identify ways to maximise client relationships and deliver added value
- Work closely with the Manager/Partner in the planning and conduct of accounts’ assignments discussing findings, emerging risks and actions to resolve any such risks

You will ideally have at least 3-4 years' practice experience, with a strong accounts background and hold a professional qualification such as ACA/ACCA, although study support may be offered if required.
