Sewell Wallis are working with a long-standing company in Rotherham looking for a Reporting, Controls & Systems Accountant.
Reporting, Controls, & Systems Development;
- Preparation of monthly management accounts, including profit and loss, balance sheet, and cash flow statements
- Consolidation of business unit results
- Review, analysis, and reporting of the monthly profit and loss result
- Supply of information to enable the conversion of management accounts to statutory format
- Actual v plan variance reporting on financials and key physical metrics
- Reconciliation of general ledger accounts, to the agreed frequency
- Monthly balance sheet review, and analysis, reporting of reconciliation differences and issues
- Development and update of standard costs for use in monthly stock valuation
- Review and development of internal controls for asset protection and accurate financial reporting
- Review of reporting requirements and the development of reports using a variety of data sources, including Business Intelligence software solutions
- Development of systems to fix existing configuration, process, and master data problems
- Development of systems to enhance existing functionality
- Collaborate with none finance colleagues to identify root cause of complex problems that manifest in the financial data that drives the financial result and reports
- Supply of data to external auditors and respond to questions
- Supervision, and performance management of the Financial Accounting section
- Analysis of historical financial information to assist the Finance Business Partners
- Completion of ad hoc tasks for Central Finance and Group Finance
- Deputise for the Finance Director
