_An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Yard & Vehicle Depollution Operative to join our business based near Weymouth_

**Main Purpose of Role**:

- Job will mainly involve the safe and efficient depollution of end of life vehicles at a busy vehicle recycling centre

**Key Duties**:To assist in the depollution of vehicles.**
- Ensure vehicles are unloaded and stored in a safe and proper manner, in particular when using a Fork Lift Truck.
- Ensure vehicle details are accurately recorded throughout de-pollution activities.
- Ensure all tyres, wheels and batteries are removed prior to de-pollution.
- Maintain the de-pollution rig, according to the rig maintenance schedule
- Ensure the rig, tools and surrounding area are kept in a clean and tidy state at all times
- To ensure that any dismantling and removal of parts is carried out in a professional manner.
- To ensure that all jobs are completed within the estimated times.
- To comply with the relevant Company Housekeeping and Health and Safety regulations and policies applicable to this position and working environment.
- Additional duties may include general assistance within the site and collection of vehicles.

**Key Skills**:To have a good mechanical knowledge and to be aware of the various car makes, models and components.**
- To have a good knowledge of relevant Health & Safety procedures. Dependant on the individuals experience and ability to meet the job description - relevant training will be given.
- Own tools are desirable.
- Experience of using forklifts with certification desirable, but is not essential. Applicants must be able to drive.

**Salary**: £25000 to £26000.

**Required experience**:

- Mechanical - with at least one years’ experience and relevant work experience.
- Previous experience working with cars mechanically is essential, and a forklift licence is desirable but qualifications are not an absolute required.
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Confident and courteous when dealing with customers
- Keeping workplace clean and tidy
- **Desirable - Level 2 + Automotive Technician.**
