We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our Year 4 team at one of our schools in Cockermouth. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting the learning and development of children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).

**As a Teaching Assistant working, your duties may include**:

- Assist the classroom teacher with lesson planning and preparation.
- Lead small group or individual instruction as assigned by the teacher.
- Provide additional support to students who need extra help.
- Help supervise students in the classroom, playground, cafeteria, and other areas.
- Monitor student progress and provide feedback to the teacher.
- Assist with record keeping and other administrative tasks.
- Prepare teaching materials and classroom displays.
- Assist with setting up and tidying up the classroom each day.
- Supervise students on field trips and other school-sponsored activities.
- Provide individual attention to students who need extra help

**The requirements for this role are**:

- GCSE English & Maths
- Preferably qualified to an NVQ Level 2 or equivalent qualification
- Experience working with children
- Ability to develop positive relationships with students, parents and staff
- Possess strong organizational, communication and problem-solving skills
- Understanding of classroom procedures and policies
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
